Hello lovely people of Melbourne! Are you hearing this from your kids too! I’ve been asked quite a few times lately if I’m able to supply DIY teepees for families during this much harder lock down period with many of you looking to find ways of offering something that sparks creative and magical play, sadly I can not. Our kids are desperately missing the normality of their childhood and friends and its heartbreaking, but I also think they are more resilient than we realise, yes its tough as hell but we will be okay. My daughter who is 11 and an only child is building blanket cubby’s and having virtual sleepovers with her friends each weekend, they had all spent the afternoon making a blanket cave, kicking off with virtual tours, before watching episodes of the Babysitters Club with screen share and of course midnight snacks hidden! What things have your kids been doing to stay connected? I would love you to tell us your stories and share ideas to help other families including mine through the holidays. And while we wait intently for regular updates from the Premier as to when things may change I’m adding lots of additional fun to our range of extra’s and activities for when we can safely have sleepover teepee parties again. Be kind to yourself, miss you!
